This ambitious project was part of a larger campaign by the Calgary Co-op to redevelop several of their prime real estate sites to include for a comprehensive mixed use development, including new grocery stores, mixed residential, commercial, and office spaces.

Phasing of the project was complex; the uninterrupted operation of a grocery, gas bar, and liquor store was a strict requirement.

Two years of community engagement and project refinements eventually lead to the approval of both the Land Use Redesignation and Development Permit. Post pandemic, the Co-op is currently reviewing several of their project sites.
